Taking place almost every month in cities where we have chapters, this is a periodic gathering (somewhat like a "group counseling" session) for business decision-makers to discuss all issues related to doing business with or in China.

These sessions not only help them continue to network and expand their contacts, but also allow them to compare notes, share tips and learn from each other's lessons and experience, thereby enabling them to be better informed, prepared and "equipped" in their China business pursuits.

A Special Feature At This Particular Event

Aside from the usual roundtable discussions participated by all in attendance, this meeting will also feature a presentation by Primary Source / MA Initiative For International Studies (MIIS) on how to prepare our students for a rising China.

Is the 21st century going to be a 'China Century' as believed by many nowadays? The jury may be still out. But America will certainly fall way behind if our education system fails to adequately prepare our students to compete in an increasingly globalized world. The problems are perhaps best illustrated in an article entitled “Preparing Today’s Students For Tomorrow: How Do You Fix the Uneducated?” by James Carlini, an adjunct professor at Northwestern University and president of Carlini & Associates, complete with some very provocative video footage, including the now infamous “Miss Teen USA South Carolina“ footage and an ABC 20/20 program called “Stupid In America - How We Cheat Our Kids“ in which South Carolina was shown as being last among all states for student performance on the SAT.
